Gide ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Gide mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address, username, and password when you register.
• Location data: Your real-time GPS location when you use the app, shared only with your trusted contacts.
• Device information: Device token for push notifications (FCM token) to deliver alerts to your contacts.
• Messages: Messages you send to contacts within the app.
• Usage data: App activity such as alerts sent and features used.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To share your real-time location with your trusted contacts.
• To send SOS, high priority, and home safe alerts to your contacts.
• To deliver push notifications to your contacts' devices.
• To enable in-app messaging between you and your contacts.
• To maintain and improve the Gide service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. Your location and profile information is shared only with users you have explicitly added as trusted contacts. We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication, database storage, and push notifications.
• Mapbox: For map rendering. Mapbox may receive your approximate location to render maps.

4. Location Data

Gide requests access to your device's location to provide its core safety features. Location data is only shared with users in your trusted circle. You can enable Ghost Mode at any time to stop sharing your location while keeping your account active.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@gide.club, and we will delete your data within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Gide is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase's security infrastructure to protect your information.

8. Your Rights
